What sustainability means to us

RJC - Certified

fejn is certified according to the Responsible Jewellery Council Code of Practices. Among other aspects, the standard includes requirements for human rights, working conditions, responsible supply chains, and environmental management.

Recycled Precious Metals

Our jewelry is made from recycled silver and gold. This way, we reduce the demand for newly mined raw materials and conserve valuable resources.

Laboratory-Grown Gemstones

We use lab-grown diamonds and emeralds for selected jewelry pieces. Created under controlled conditions in a laboratory, they possess the exact same chemical, physical, and optical properties as their natural counterparts. The extraction process for these gemstones requires no natural gemstone mining.

Responsible manufacturing

We maintain long-term partnerships with selected manufacturers in Thailand. We regularly audit our direct production partners and sourcing channels as part of our risk-based due diligence processes, considering requirements for human rights and fair working conditions, among other factors.

Consciously selected packaging materials

We also pay close attention to material selection for our packaging and focus on using packaging materials as intentionally as possible. Our jewelry boxes and shipping cartons are made from FSC-certified materials.

Energy & Engagement

We use electricity from renewable sources for our Cologne office. In addition, we support selected reforestation and coral protection projects. You can find more about these projects and our other initiatives in our sustainability report.
