fejn jewelry follows two guidelines since it was founded in 2019:

Responsible Jewellery Council
The RJC is a non-profit standards and certification organization founded in 2005 to promote responsible ethical, human rights, social, and environmental practices throughout the jewelry industry supply chain.

Recycled precious metals
All fejn jewelry is made from high-quality precious metals that come from recycled sources:
Our silver jewelry is made from recycled 925 sterling silver. It either remains in its natural state or is coated with 18-karat recycled gold plating. All silver jewelry is stamped with the fineness mark ‘925’ and ‘fj’.
Our solid gold jewelry is made from recycled 14-karat or 9-karat gold. All gold jewelry is stamped with the fineness mark ‘585’ or '333' and ‘fj’.
‘Recycled’ means metal recovered from previous manufacturing or consumer use; it does not
include newly mined metal.
We ensure this promise by regular due diligence of our supply chain, which includes our production partners to declare and verify the recycled content of the metals used in our jewelry.
Environmentally friendly packaging
All fejn packaging is made from environmentally friendly materials.
From jewelry boxes to shipping boxes: jewelry boxes are made in Denmark from FSC-certified cardboard. The foam inlays contain a small amount of plastic, which can be recycled. Jewelry bags are also made in Denmark from organic cotton. Shipping material is sourced in Germany, it is plastic-free and made from recycled cardboard.
We also reduce waste by offering a zero-waste option for jewelry packaging and reusing returned shipping boxes as much as possible.
Environmental & climate protection
fejn jewelry strives to offset its carbon footprint wherever possible. Our shipments are partially offset by our logistics partners and are therefore delivered in a climate-friendly manner.
In addition, we contribute to the preservation and protection of our climate: We regularly donate to PLANT-MY-TREE® to support German reforestation projects, as well as to PLANT-MY-CORAL® to reforest heat-resistant corals in the Andaman Sea in Thailand, where we manufacture our products.
In our business premises, we use electricity from 100% renewable energy sources and environmentally friendly office supplies.
Responsible manufacturing
fejn jewelry works since many years with selected manufacturers in Thailand, a country known for its long tradition of silversmithing.
Responsible manufacturing means ensuring that human rights and fair labor practices are
upheld not only by us, but also by our in-scope direct suppliers.
We ensure responsible manufacturing by requesting documents and information from all production partners to ensure that they treat their employees responsibly and fairly. Our partners' business practices are also reviewed through regular visits by our founder, Dagmar Kraemer.
